Along the 18 miles of beaches there are opportunities to wind surf, sail, swim, fish and take boat trips.

Children love to catch crabs on Mudeford Quay & for those more serious fisherman there are fishing boat trips.

Mudeford Fresh Fish stall has plenty to tempt you for your barbecue.

From Mudeford Quay you can book up for a fishing trip ( the mackeral fishing trips are very popular and a great way of stocking up for the BBQ), other trips include speed boat rides with Adventure Voyages

Hengistbury Head is famous for it's bird watching, Nature Reserve also kite flying along with the annual Kite Festival.

Further along from the Quay is Avon Beach Cafe & Book Shop. If you carry on this lovely walk along the beach you will come to Highcliffe Castle where there is a cafe.

For Golfers of all abilities Hengistbury Head golf course is near by. There are many cycle routes and walks to be explored from here.
Christchurch may be reached by foot by following the Avon Valley walkway which will take you along the banks of the River Stour.
